About the Film
Zodiac Killa: Year of the Rat is a Cincinnati-based indie short film featuring a Black woman-led story by Jayshan Lundy and an all-Black and Asian cast of martial artists. Following Xola Kofi and Shuqin Yuan, this fast-paced kung fu film combines thrilling action sequences with a gripping narrative rooted in powerful performances and dynamic choreography. Blending martial arts and cinematic storytelling, Zodiac Killa: Year of the Rat celebrates representation, movement, and the artistry of an all-martial artist ensemble.
